Get to Know
Dr. Sheren Elsaid
Dr. Sheren Elsaid spent her childhood moving between the United States and Egypt before returning Stateside for good when she was in the 8th grade. Throughout her childhood, she was sure she wanted to be a physician. She began taking pre-med classes and received her bachelor’s in psychology from CUNY Hunter College. Soon after, Dr. Elsaid began volunteering at a local hospital and realized that while she loved the medical field, being a physician was not for her.
Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
After seeing her orthodontist for a follow-up appointment and telling him she was quitting the pre-med path, he asked if she wanted a job as an orthodontist assistant, working for him and his daughter, who was also an orthodontist. Dr. Elsaid loved seeing the impact they had on their patients. It was then that Dr. Elsaid realized she wanted to be a dentist.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Elsaid earned her dental degree from Temple University and completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry through NYU Langone Dental Medicine Program. Dr. Elsaid continues to take extensive continuing education courses to advance her skills to provide her patients with the best dental care available.
Outside of the Dental Office,
What Do You Like to Do?
When she isn’t working as a Parsippany-Troy Hills dentist, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, reading, and trying new recipes. Oh — and she’s a huge Harry Potter fan. Dr. Elsaid says that dental school was the best decision she has ever made, and she cannot imagine having any other career. She loves what she does every single day.
